Personal Life
She accomplished many things and strove for greatness whilst struggling with her disability.
- Temple Grandin is an autistic activist who was born August 29, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born with a disability known as autism. Autism can cause the person affected with it to be anti-social and be easily freaked out and they aren’t very well at projecting certain things and can usually be caught or diagnosed in children during their talking stages because children affected don’t tend to talk at the average age children normally do and seem to be distant to everyone due to their anti-social behavior. Temple remains unmarried and uncommitted due to her not being able to commit to an emotional relationship it doesn’t seem like a part of her. She hasn’t had any children due to her not having any relationships or being married. Temple has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, master’s degree in animal science, a doctoral degree in animal science. Whenever Temple sees a door she either thinks something great lies within the other side or she thinks it’s going to close on her. Temple uses what is known as a “hug box” to calm herself down because it’s similar to what farmers use for cattle when they want to calm the cattle down. Temple designed a pathway for cattle to be tested on their swimming so that the cattle will be calm and relaxed and she also designed slaughter houses so that cattle will be calm and won’t expect what’s coming next. Temple has written and published many books on autism and her life regarding how she’s learned to deal with having that disability
